Immigrant Community Speaks on 'What Gaelic Games Mean to Us'
Posted at 12:52 Mon 30th Apr 2012 IST
This short film offers a glimpse into the immigrant community’s take on GAA and what role it plays in Irish national identity. The video, which was made on Friday in Dublin City Centre, sheds light on the often overlooked community and offers a different perspective on uniquely Irish sports.
The short film was made as part of the National Media Encounter of the MARS programme (Media against Racism in Sports). One immigrant who was interviewed spoke about how he was amazed at the way that the GAA brings the local community together.
