Pod of Killer Whales Filmed in Donegal

On June the 6th a pod of seven Orca Killer Whales were seen in Lough Swill in Co. Donegal. The group of whales traveled from Culdaff around Malin Head towards Downings where the Basking Shark Team captured footage of the whales. The whales are not usually seen on the Irish coast. These killer whales were filmed as they traveled from Dunaff Head, Inishowen towards Fanad lighthouse. Four of the whales can be seen close to the boat while another two were are visible in the distance. The whales were recorded by Kevin Doherty also on the 6th of June.
