Video: Carlow man sets world record for most toothpicks in a beard

Ed Cahill, a graduate student from Co Carlow, has set a world record for placing 3,107 toothpicks in his beard.

The news was announced on the Guinness World Records site after Cahill made his attempt live on Ireand's Today FM radio station.

It took Ed just under three hours to complete the task during the attempt which took place at the studios of Irish radio station Today FM during the The Ray D'Arcy Show.

Ed originally had the idea for the record attempt after he and his friends got bored waiting for food in a restaurant and began placing as many toothpicks as they could in his beard.
