Bray Baths Of The Old Days

Located south of Dublin on the east coast, Bray village in Co. Wicklow is one of the typical seaside spots in Ireland.

Recent photos uploaded to a great Facebook page, called ‘Bray – Did You Know,’ take us back in time to the historic baths that any visitor to Bray was sure to visit.

Unfortunately, as the more recent photo above shows, much of these are no longer used, and in other locations nearby (like Blackrock and Sandymount) they lie derelict

The image below is also a recent one, but combined with the images further below, you get an idea of how the Bray baths used to look:

This postcard picture gives an idea of how busy the baths were in days gone by. Was it always sunny in Bray back then?!
