Filming for New BBC Show Takes Place in Trinity College

A new BBC TV show called Ripper Street started filming on Saturday in Trinity College Dublin.
Set in 1889, Parliament Square was transformed into London’s financial district for this new series about the hunt for Jack the Ripper, which is being co-produced by BBC America.
The show features actors from Frost/Nixon, Game of Thrones and House. It stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg and Myanna Buring.
James Hickey, Chief Executive, Bord Scannán na hÉireann (the Irish Film Board) told the BBC he is delighted that the series is filming in Ireland .
“We very much welcome the opportunity this major drama series will give to Irish talent both in front of and behind the camera,” he said.
