If you take four of Ireland's top columnists and commentators, and put them in a room together, what do you get? Four angry men with some very clever ideas, that's what.

'Four Angry Men' at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre takes the cream of Ireland's social and political writers, and places them on stage to debate the state of the nation.

These are some of the most outspoken critics Ireland has:

David McWilliams is an economist who warned about an impending crisis as far back as 2003

Fintan O'Toole is a senior columnist with The Irish Times

Nick Webb, business editor of the Sunday Independent, has written extensively on Ireland's political and business systems, including books with TD Shane Ross.

We spoke with three of them about just what makes them the 'four angry men', the state of the nation, Irish identity and the diaspora, and what we can expect from the show. Shane Ross was unavailable.

Taking place on Tuesday 27 November in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, 'Four Angry Men' is chaired by Olivia O'Leary. Tickets, priced €25, and full details can be found at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre site.

You can win tickets to the event in WorldIrish's competition here.
