Keogh’s farm say they are the only potato growers in the world who offer fresh potatoes and potato crisps from the farm side by side.

“The idea for a Shamrock crisp came from our absolute pride in being Irish farmers and a constant need to be innovative in our offering, we are very excited about them and already have interest from abroad” Tom Keogh said. They are expecting high demand from abroad for the snack.

Keoghs are working with Living Shamrock in Ballinskelligs, Co Kerry to produce the flavour for the crisps. The area in kingdom has been producing fresh shamrock for US presidents since 1952.

There has been excitement online about the unique crisp flavour…

Spud fans took to Twitter to chat about the newest crisp addition…

The Keogh’s released this image on February 23rd… the caption reads: “Pic of myself and Casper cooking up something new on the Farm this morning…all will be revealed on March 1st :) – Tom”

The Keogh Family have been farming the lands of North County Dublin for the past 200 years. Take a look at this video as Tom Keogh talks all about spuds at the Taste of Christmas last year.
