US Synchronised Swimmers Train in Dublin
The US Olympic synchronised swimming team is currently in Ireland using the National Aquatic Centre (NAC) in Blanchardstown for a six-day training camp, ahead of the Olympic Games this summer in London. The 24-strong team is the second group of Olympic hopefuls using the facilities. The Korean swimming Federation recently held a camp in the west Dublin centre.
The team was very appreciative for what was seen as a ‘warm welcome’ to Ireland and applauded the NAC facilities:

The team is keen to interact with the public during their visit to Ireland. In addition to visiting in Temple Street Hospital, they will also perform a show at the end of their trip, as outlined below:
The American squad have worked closely with the National Aquatic Centre to be as accessible as possible to the Irish public on this their inaugural visit. During their time in Dublin they will visit Temple Street Hospital and host a Workshop for the NAC Synchronised Swimming Girls Academy. “Their visit will culminate a Synchro Extravaganza performance” on Saturday April 14th at 2pm.
