Irish fast food outlet Supermac's is aiming to spread its (chicken) wings this year – by opening several new outlets in Australia.
Chief Executive Pat McDonagh told the Irish Sun newspaper that they have received dozens of requests from homesick (and hungry) Irish people Down Under to set up shop there and are now gauging demand.
There are more people applying for Australian visas than ever. Hopefully, we’ll be opening overseas over the next 12 months.
– Pat McDonagh speaking to the Irish Sun
Supermac's already has 100 restaurants across Ireland – and it hopes to open four more in 2013.
Will you be looking forward to sitting down with a Supermac's burger and chips on the beach?
