Community leaders, politicians, artists and cultural heads gathered in Derry this week to launch a new fund for the Re-imaging Programme – a multi-million pound cultural initiative which aims to build peace through the arts.

The programme supports communities across Northern Ireland and the border areas that want to tackles signs of sectarianism and racism. Funding is used to employ artists to work with local groups to produce art.

Each project must provide opportunities for communities to promote tolerance and understanding while using the arts to express who they are and what culture means to them.
