Image of the Day: Notre Dame will wear this shamrock tomorrow to honour Boston

Notre Dame, known as the 'Fighting Irish' are adding a special detail to their helmets for Saturday's blue-gold spring game: a Boston 'B' on the Irish shamrock.

They're doing it in solidarity with the people of Boston in the wake of the marathon bombing and the hunt for suspects that's gripped the city this past week.

The decals are rolling off the printers, and there's enough for the entire team to wear as a mark of respect.

It's a small, but thoughtful touch to let their fellow Americans know they're thought of.
