When we started the Poetry Project six months ago, our goal was to bring to contemporary Irish poetry and video art to the world in an accessible and enjoyable way. And that’s what we did, with weekly uploads of video art inspired by Irish poetry at www.thepoetryproject.ie

I absolutely love the poems, music, videos - the art itself - the presentation - the whole concept. What you're doing here, is to my knowledge the most efficient and fun way to introduce us all some very fine art. FINLAND

I have been so enjoying the gift of a poem and video when I awake on Monday mornings… The first thing I do after I open my eyes is sit up and turn on my laptop and prepare to be delighted… I particularly love hearing the poems read aloud. They are of such high quality… Thank you Thank you Thank you. CANADA

Once we realised how challenging it can be to incorporate poetry and visual art into busy schedules we decided to bring both of these art forms to your inbox - just one click and you can stream a piece of Irish video art straight to your desk, sofa or even bed. Or sit back and read a piece of contemporary Irish poetry. And our subscribers and visitors from 118 countries agree, taking the time each week, since January 1st 2013 to enjoy a shot of Irish culture. For some it serves as a potent reminder of the Ireland they have left or visited, for others it provides a more enriched view of Ireland and its contemporary culture.
