If you put that time in, you will get a career out of it. Its a big effort but it can lead to a great career.

Draw a doodle a breakfast, break out your sketchbook at lunchtime, sketch on the bus and give it a serious couple of hours in the evening

Always remember, that a career in illustration is available to everyone. There is just ONE golden rule. Draw for FIVE hours a day minimum

@KevBeirne I disagree entirely. I don't think I had any natural ability, I just worked hard at it. Most comic illustrators say the same

Its a great feeling to meet an artist, who you can see has been working hard at their craft.

We can also spot the next generation who are coming through, and see which ones are working the hardest to break in.

Those of us in Ireland, that have become professionals in the industry, have all practiced non stop to get there.

If you draw for 5 hours today, then you will be 5 hours better than you were yesterday. Those who practice the hardest, become the best
